Mom and pop shop locally owned and operated. Last year my cheap garage door decided to buckle on me. New to the area, my old garage door guy was not an option. I did the ol' interwebs search and a local shop, about 4 miles away came up, along with the usual fare of the big name shops and contractors(with big prices too). Gave the Viking a call and he showed up, wife in tow and fixed my door at a more than reasonable price while giving some advice that the garage door had "seen its better days," bit wasn't pushy at all. He was a good guy. Fast forward to the present-sure enough James prediction was spot on. Stupid me didn't have his number and couldn't remember his company. I had just round-filed his receipt! Searched the 'net nothing looked familiar. So I just grabbed a number and called-no answer. Went to the next and someone picked up. Glad someone was thinking-he keeps records and had me in his system! I found him! We squared away on a time and he was there ready to go. James assessed the damage and gave me a few options to choose from. For a reasonable price I had James replace my door and he was done same day. Fast, knowledgeable courteous and customer orientated. You need any kind of garage door or related trustworthy work done, this is the company you want to get it done. This time had him put two stickers up- one on the door and one by the switch, and I got him locked in on my phone. James, thanks for remembering me and fixing my door! To my new garage door guy!
He installed a much quieter DC motor and moved the AC motor to the 3rd stall garage door. About a week or two between call and and an open time. Day of they called to let me know they would be late for my morning appointment due to the commercial project taking longer. Then called again before coming in the afternoon. I really appreciated being kept informed of the timing changes; great communication.
Responsive and very helpful, laid out my options and had me well informed for future maintenance at a reasonable price.
James was texting with me at 9pm about my broken door and fit me into his schedule next day at a time that worked best for me. Super friendly, had the new springs needed right in his truck, and had it working in an hour. Super reasonable pricing which he clearly takes pride in keeping costs as low as possible for customers. Love to support a small business owner from my own city as well. Highly recommend!
Needed my springs replaced after they broke. The service was prompt, thorough, and very professionally done. If you’re looking for an honest, and professional garage service, this is it. No complaints with the experience at all.

James did a great job of diagnosing and fixing my old garage door that was starting to sag. He was pretty much able to figure out exactly what needed to be done from the info I gave him on the phone. He came out the same day to add a reinforcing strut and adjust the spring, and now the door is working great again. It was clear that he had a lot of experience with all types of garage doors and the things that go wrong with them, and that he knew his stuff. I would definitely recommend his company to anyone needing garage door repair or installation.
Came out on a Sunday two days before Christmas because the garage door had been hit, knocked off its track and the pulley's were messed up. Obviously knew what he was doing, gave some good tips on door maintenance and after fixing all the above, adjusted the opener for us. Good communication, on time, pleasant and professional, plus a more than fair price. I have no hesitation in recommending James for any garage door repair or install.
I love their honesty and work was excellent. I saved $1900, and that says they can come fix my garage door anytime I need it. I am going to hire them to install my screen doors for garage in the spring.

Best garage door company ever! I don’t say those words to often! They went above and beyond on our service. Ordering our garage door and everything else we needed was done by them. They made everything so easy and stress free. I wish we could give them more than 5 stars. Because our garage was a hot mess. But they again made everything so easy to work with and we have received so many compliments from our neighbors and others. So thank you for doing such such an amazing job.

He spent about 20 minutes assessing the problem and provided me with several professional and efficient options. My Garage door jumped off the tracks. I have a ton of tools and other valuables in the garage. Garage door Viking came out the same day and replaced the door. They gave me several options in regard to replacement or repair. Good service and they did exactly as they promised.

I had several different garage door folks out to do an estimate on a repair. 4 to be exact. Of the four, only 1 stood out above the rest in terms of price and honesty. Several were like, 'you need a whole new system 2000.' But James came in, identified the problem and fixed it with a great price! He is super busy, so make sure you book as quickly as possible.
In awkward circumstances (dealing with a difficult home warranty company), James was an exemplary communicator and exceptionally responsive. He was understanding of the challenges and willing to work out flexible, creative solutions. Bottom line, he got the work done (replacing broken springs and rusty cables) efficiently and expertly. His expertise and kindness are both appreciated.

Have ‘95 built house in Farmington with a custom size door. A real pain in trying to find a retailer that had anything or could get anything. Then I called the Garage Door Viking and had them come out and give me a great quote on full complete install and accurate timelines. Professionalism, quality and timeliness are what I look for in a good contractor in which they check all of the boxes!

James put on new cables for me and rebalanced the door. He is extremely knowledgeable. James also noticed litte things to help prolong my garage door life. He was very efficient and completely cleaned up the the old parts. He took the old stuff with him so there was no left over mess for me to clean up. All in all extremely happy with the work he did. Will use this company again for sure.

I had a broken garage door spring, called Garage Door Viking and they were able to come out later that day! Spring replacement was done and they spent extra time to make sure there was proper door alignment, bad rollers replaced (and yes - some were REALLY bad!), track alignment, etc. Door now runs nice and quiet -- just like new! Great job done at a fair price.
